I am familiar with ftf gaming methods for the classroom and through my wife the military type, familiar with the uses (some of them) in the U. S. military, but am considering pbm/pbem games. Since many of the tactical/strategic games require a higher level of thinking than many of my students often demonstrate, and since motivation is always a goal, I am roughing out ideas for a simple web-based pbem game that would be run from classroom computers, allow interactivity between multiple players, require application of curricular materials, yet be manageable.
