[web][list] New Phoenyx URL, Open Gaming Mailing List From: silver@phoenyx.net (Karen J. Cravens) Date: Thu, 25 Sep 1997 00:00:00 +0000 PHOENYX PLAY-BY-EMAIL ROLEPLAYING NEW LIST, URL The Phoenyx' PBeM roleplaying web page can now be found at http://www.phoenyx.net/ The original site will remain as a mirror/supplemental site. A new list has also been opened for those gamemasters and players who would like a way to play in a group without annoying CC lists, but who don't feel ready for a full Phoenyx list. Open-Gaming-L is the Phoenyx' equivalent of the open gaming room at a convention: walk in, grab a table, and play. No appointments or commitments are needed... but the games must be free, and must be human-moderated roleplaying games (or at least have human-readable turns... no gibberish or binaries). To join the mailing list, send the following line(s) in the body of a message to majordomo@phoenyx.net : subscribe open-gaming-L@phoenyx.net help # returns the full list of server commands lists # displays the names of all Phoenyx mailing lists Non-players are welcome to join game mailing lists without creating a character. Those interested in playing should join the mailing list and either check the web pages or email the appropriate gamemaster (whose email address will appear in the subscription information) directly for information on creating a character. Phoenyx games are human-moderated "true" roleplaying games. In most cases, owning a copy of the rules is not even necessary to play. All Phoenyx games are free to gamemasters, players, and lurkers. Would-be gamemasters are encouraged to check the Phoenyx pages at http://www.phoenyx.net/gminfo.html for information on joining the Phoenyx. Up
