Re: PBeM software development advice wanted From: Serena White <nanna@other-side.com> Date: Thu, 06 Nov 1997 00:00:00 +0000 IMO: I'm currently in the process of automating my own PBeM designs... the simplest and most powerful solution I've found is to use MS Access as the database to hold the data and use Visual Basic (a straight-forward simple language) for the coding. This also allows me to use Active Server Pages as the front end so that my players can actually submit turns through their browser, with full "Windows"-like functions (drop down combo boxes for the list of orders, etc.). With the number of books on the shelf on these three subjects you should get a good boost towards automation with a little bit of study. Hope that helps. JKR Up
