MEPBMI (or what were you thinking?) From: Tom Walko <Tom@troll.mv.com> Date: Sun, 16 Nov 1997 00:00:00 +0000 Just an observation folks, Has anyone else noticed an increase in the "all for me, you go to hell" attitude in MEPBM lately? Seems the more I talk to friends of mine at work, the more I hear those types of stories. For example, a friend of mine is playing in a 4th age game. It's early, he is getting hammered, he asks for help; 2 replies return to him saying "die quickly" and " we don't need you anyway". Another friend of mine at work had a "run in" with someone who routinely stole from her. This despite telling that person she was near broke. The other guys response, "Well, I guess you should guard your pop-centers more closely"...and continued with the steals. I guess what I am getting at is the game is meant to be fun. If you see someone else ruining it for you or for others, what should you do? I don't believe dropping a game is the answer, but I can understand why someone would. Why pay $6.50 every 2 weeks to "play" with someone who is a jerk? Perhaps some people need to sit back and look at why they are playing. Is it just for "personal gain"? While I fully understand the object behind the game is to win, is it worth it? Especially if you are the one on the receiving end of "die quickly"? Comments?
