In general I suspect stock numbers, price or volume, are bad choices for
random numbers when modulo math is applied. I'd guess there are patterns in
the volume numbers resulting from human's tendency to sell stock in blocks. A
better method might be read down the columns of volumes, picking out the
second digit from the right and building a series of N digit random numbers
from that.
