[AD-COMMERICAL GAMES] UWP Play-By-Mail Wrestling From: SelenaKyte@webtv.net (Selena Kyte) Date: Wed, 03 Dec 1997 00:00:00 +0000 United Wrestling Promotions is a group of play-by-mail wrestling games who work together to enhance fantasy wrestling as a whole. The UWP consists of ACE International Wrestling, the Grand Prix Wrestling Federation, and the World Fantasy Wrestling Council. The UWP is always looking for other games to join it's family. If you run a fantasy wrestling game of any kind, go to this URL: http://www.iquest.net/~dchristian for more information on hooking up with United Wrestling Promotions. The UWP recognizes unified champions that any player can challenge for. The current focus is on play-by-mail wrestling games, however, the UWP is expanding their operations to include participation from e-wrestling games. The UWP promotes joint supercards and contests among it's membership games. Players and handlers from both play-by-mail promotions and e-federations are invited to challenge for UWP titles, regardless of whether or not that game recognizes UWP champions. The price structure is as follows: A world champion or highest ranked champion of that game can request a UWP title shot for 50 cents per match. Lower ranked champions (such as intercontinental, regional, national, etc.) can request a UWP title shot for $1.00 per match. A non titled grappler can have his/her moment of glory and shot at fame by requesting a UWP title shot for only $3.00 per match. These are the UWP champions as of November 8, 1997: Unified World Heavyweight Champion: Live Wire (WFWC) Unified World Tag Team Champions: Tommy Lane & Rex Ruthless (free agents) Unified World Lightweight Champion: "Too Pretty" Johnny Paradise (WFWC) Unified World Six Man Champions: The Pacific Warriors (ACE USA) Unified World Women's Champion: China Doll (WFWC) If you are a player in either play-by-mail wrestling or e-wrestling, and you want to challenge any of these champions for their respective UWP titles, send me some e-mail, and I'll provide details on what to include on the entry form, and where to send that entry form and payment.
