Introduction: Free Gurps PBeM Cyberpunk game needs extra players. The game will be played via private e-mail, there are two GM's namely: Vegard Valberg <vvalberg@online.no> Bruce Perry <bperry@telesouth1.com> When you respond, please send to both addresses. We post one turn per week, the game has been going on for a few months, but we feel we should have some more players. Steel Samurai: Classic Edition. It's the year 2035, five great power-blocks compete for power in an increasingly intricate game, the world has seen great advances, but also great set backs; the Mega-Corporations rule Russia; elite EuroCorp Gunship crews patrol the Mediterranean, attacking refugee ships; In China the revised Communist government is leading the race for bio-tech; the US has lost Washington in a Nuclear blast; Japan has once again risen, and now leads the world in high-tech, as well as ruling much of the pacific Rim. The great powers: The Empire of Japan: Dominated by Mega-Corps, which in fact run the country, the fusion between the government and the Corporations is so great that most people don't bother to look. Now Japan is tightening the screws on the Asian Pacific Rim, and moving ahead in high-tech industry. The European Union: Home of some of the greatest Mega-Corps, but still run by the European Parliament, highest living standard in the world (as long as you keep out of the Sprawls and southern Europe). The European union has the greatest industrial base of all the great powers, and too feed their enormous need for resources, they are moving in on the African and Arabian nations. The Russian Conglomerate: A Corporate state, a few giant Mega-Corps run everything, quasi-Democracy based on state shares, which can be bought and sold. The Russian conglomerate is the greatest space-power, and it leads on Cybernetics as well. The Russian state has by now swallowed almost all the states that belonged to Tsarist Russia. The Republic of China: Still under the grip of Communism, China is now modernising at record speed, the state protects the Corporations, and the Corporations stay out of the state's affairs. China is the leading Bio-Tech manufacturer, with the successful cloning of Triceratops and Ichtysaurus, China has proven what it's Bio-Tech can do. The United States of America: Still the leading Democracy in the world, the US houses many giant corporations, but the Federal Government still try to run things. After the loss of Washington DC to a terrorist nuclear bomb, the US has gotten quite isolationist, but it still moved in to occupy Mexico, and the US-Canadian protectorate (Yukon and British Columbia). Any kind of Cyberpunk character will be accepted, but we require writing samples (so describe your character thoroughly), anyone that mails us will receive: A timeline, a description (thorough) of the five major power-blocks, and some campaign notes (including a sample of game play, for flavour).
