What follows is TwinEngine (TEG) descriptions of the sects. These can be
viewed at "www.twinengine.com". If your at all interested in OTD (Out Time
Days) you should check it out. Warning! The WEB page has NOT been updated
with new sect contact info yet. (I converted the HTML document to text and
removed contact info.) (FACT! I know that the BG supplied a writeup over 6
months ago. why TEG has not added it to the list, I do not know.) OTD sect
information page What follows are brief writeups provided by TEG on what
each of the five sects in OTD is focused on doing. the email addresses for
sect leaders (or contacts) are included so that you may gain more
information directly from the source. In addition, sect leaders are
encouraged to send in material that they would like listed on this page.
Black Guard TEG info: This sect is considered the out and out 'bad folks' on
Kolob. They have little thought (or need) for justice and the natives are
but tools to be used to accomplish their ends. A few natives who think along
similar lines have joined their cause, but on the whole they are despised by
the world. However, they are also one of the strongest groups on the planet.
FREGA TEG info: This is a sect that has attempted to maintain a neutral
stance with all sect over the years. They play both sides of the fence
(usually successfully), and have some special abilities because of this. The
sect's primary focus at this time lies in an understanding and expansion of
the mental arts -- something in which the natives seem to excel.
O.T.H.E.R.S. TEG info: An offshoot of the Black Guard, this sect is less
violent then the 'most evil' on Kolob, but it is extremely active in the
many other aggressive actions possible on the world. Although you might not
expect to fight these folks directly, you can be assured that they will do
their best to ruin your day in other ways. White Guard TEG info: The good
guys -- just about all that there is to try and save the world with.
Although unable to combat the evil forces with their own tools, the WG has a
number of powerful advantages that often make up for their lack of numbers
and the shear aggressiveness of their opponents. A true challenge for the
player, but you've got the natives following all over themselves to help
you. Yenro TEG info: Religious fanatics of the highest order. They are
attempting to get the world to accept that its salvation can only be
achieved via their goddess Shandra. Over the years they have formed many
alliances and taken on many foes, giving them a decided edge in knowledge of
how everyone and everything works. A powerful force that cannot be ignored.
