TCFA looking for coaches for its second season From: PJ Killian <pkillian@NMSU.Edu> Date: Mon, 26 Jan 1998 00:00:00 +0000 TCFA (Tailgater's Collegiate Football Association) is a PBeM (play-by-email) game of college football that is easy to learn and play--it just takes a couple of minutes to make up orders for a turn. It is not a rotisserie/fantasy-style game, nor is it a statistical simulation...it's more of an abstract game of logic with a college-football theme, so the best players will be those familiar with the theories of both John Von Neumann AND Joe Paterno. It's also just a fun game to goof around with, so don't be too put off by the game's seeming egg-headedness. The game is free to all, but there are no prizes, either, apart from being forever enshrined in the TCFA Hall of Champions and my permission to act smugly superior for the subsequent season. Rules and further propaganda can be read at http://home.earthlink.net/~godot22/TCFA/index.html. Hope you sign up! -------------------------------------------------------------- "Football combines the worst elements of the American character--violence punctuated by committee meetings." - George Will PJ Killian pkillian@nmsu.edu / http://web.nmsu.edu/~pkillian Up
