UPDATE: Web-Grognards, 8/3/98 From: Alan Poulter <alan@poulter.demon.co.uk> Date: Sun, 08 Mar 1998 00:00:00 +0000 Hi, Still no winner for the 4CDs Challenge, sponsored by 4CDs Strategy and Wargame Shop, offering a free copy of Talonsoft's East Front. To win you must correctly answer both the following questions:- * Q1: The following quote comes from the manual of a classic computer wargame:- '"Give 'em hell boys!", he shouted. His corps commander was handicapped in this regard by being the Bishop of Louisiana but he was equal to the occasion.' What is the name of the game, what company produced it and who designed it? * Q2: What are the title and publisher of the current Grognard Challenge game? This you have to recognise from scans of two map sections and two sets of units on the Web-Grognards homepage. Rules of the 4CDs Challenge 1. Only one entry is allowed per entrant. Subsequent entries submitted by any entrant will be ineligible. 2. All entries must be sent to grognard@grognard.com 3. All entries received will be given a entry number. This must be quoted to obtain any prize. 4. The closing date of the current competition is Saturday 14th March, 18:00 GMT. All entries must be dated prior to this. 5. The winner (if any) will be notified by email after the closing date. 6. Decisions of the competition organisers are final. 7. Staff of 4CDs and Web-Grognards are ineligible to enter. You can of course just submit answers for the Grognards Challenge, which is running as ever. The Previous Grognards Challenge: Allan Rothberg (arothberg@earthlink.net) was the first of a few to guess "Operation Husky" (Steve Bohn Games). This is Allan's eighth win and puts him top equal with Randy Moorehead in terms of most wins. A new Challenge awaits! A list of new links and files on Web-Grognards follows.
