Tony that is exactly true in standard and in Galaxy NG games.
If your world is bombed and you have no ships present to see
the nation(s) ships that bombed you then sinc eoyu no longer own
the planet and you had no ships there to see the designs you will get
absolutely no information on the ship designs that attacked you. All you
will know is which nation bombed you - but keep in mind if it was multiple
nations that that you would only know which nation the game engine selected
to actually do the bombing.

this definition of the word "Infinite."
