Werewolf & Mage PBEM From: Cybercat <cybercat@stlnet.com> Date: Fri, 03 Apr 1998 00:00:00 +0000 This can also be found at http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Shadowlands/6167 Introduction: Time Period: Modern Day (April 1998), though things might shift around as the game proceeds. Mood: Surreal, strange, and far from the ordinary, but not gothic, not dark, and not on the whole tragic. Emphasis and story direction is dictated on what happens with the characters, i.e. nothing is carved in stone, and role-playing is what I'm looking for (if you're big into combat, this isn't your flavor of game). Be warned, I do take the "Golden Rule" found in all the White Wolf books to heart. Though I will not change the core rules, take it to heart that all of the things found in books outside of the Main Books (Mage, Werewolf), and the Player's Guides aren't neccessarily a "given." Meaning that things such as spirits and the umbra might be a bit different than what has been written in suppliments. Think fantasy, exploration, and discovery, with some other things thrown in. Turns: At least once a week. I work part time, go to college full time, and empathise with anyone who works a 40-hour week (been there, done that). So, I'd like to gear things towards the quality of enjoyment of my players, with the speed of replies being arbitrary. I know, there are those who have a life away from the internet, and I'm not about to insist that they read their mail everyday just to play in a game. Players: Four players will be accepted, and that is what I'm keeping it to. I'd like to keep this game fun, not time-consuming, and the smaller the group the better. Submission Guidelines: Characters I'm looking for: Three Garou of any Tribe (One Theurge, One Galliard, and One Ahroun), homid is preferred, though I will consider a lupis or a metis. One Mage of any Tradition except for the Virtual Adepts, don't worry, I have my reasons. Character Sheets: I need a charcter sheet with maximum of 7 disadvantages, and 32 experience points. The tables for the spending of XP can be found on page 188 of the Werewolf book, and page 228 of the Mage book. If you have a stat that is four or above select a specialty, and be prepared to explain how your character aquired it in your "Backgrounds" section. Character Description: Include a physical description of your character ( i.e. hair color, eye color, height, how they dress), as well as a mental description of them. What is their outlook on life, what are their goals, and their attitudes? Is your character a snot-nosed punk who gets by day to day with an "I don't care, just stay outta my face" attitude? Character Background: This can be in story form or a factual style, however you wish it. I'm looking for the character's basic history with an emphasis on the important happenings in their lives. If you're stumped on how or what to write, you can email me questions, and/or you can take a gander at the character templates in the backs of Tribe and Tradition books.
