Players Still Needed for Battlestar Galactica PBEM game From: "Paul Baldowski" <p.baldowski@virgin.net> Date: Thu, 16 Apr 1998 00:00:00 +0000 Are there any players interested in playing in an amateur (but highly polished) game based on Battlestar Galactica? I'm looking for players who either: (a) Are happy to play by snail mail but have e-mail for diplomacy, or (b) Want to play the whole game by e-mail. The only paper-based aspect would be the rulebook which details the game system, turn construction and provide background on the Galactica mythos. Other than that the whole thing can be played electronically. It is a definite advantage if you have access to Word97 or a Word97 reader as this is the standard used for constructing turn reports. Turn orders can be submitted in almost any format. The game involves six players who can play either Cylons or Colonials - the mix determining the scenario that will be played. The game length is finite - 20 turns - with deadlines of around 3 weeks and processing periods of 7 - 10 days (to allow for queries, questions and late arrivals). The game is based on the NXS4 modular rules engine reviewed in the January edition of Flaship. See the last edition of Flagship for some very positive Rumours on the Front about NXS4. If you're interested and would like further details, please e-mail me at TheDarkerTimes@hotmail.com Thanks Paul Baldowski Moderator Up
