Flexible fantasy game engine entering testing: Overlord From: archer@hsc.fr (Vincent Archer) Date: Fri, 15 May 1998 00:00:00 +0000 In other words, a new fantasy (no, yet another) PBEM is entering the testing phase. My goals are to provide a generic, flexible, game engine that can be quickly and easily reconfigured into very different paradigms. The test world is a rough synthesis of everything from Atlantis, Lorenai, Olympia, Eldritch, and a smattering of other games. The goal being, of course, to test as many different parts of the code as possible. The game *is* open-ended, with an informal goal: becoming the Overlord, and an in-game way of ending the world itself (takes at least 60 turns, even if you know beforehand what to strive for!). Check the game rules at http://www.frmug.org/pbm/Rules.txt and, if you want to enter, fill the registration form at http://www.frmug.org/pbm/Register.txt and mail it to me. Target date for turn 1 is end of may, first week of june. -- Vincent ARCHER Email: archer@frmug.org Referenced By Up
