Description:

Welcome to Tetra, a world of epic fantasy.  The night sky is dominated by
up to four moons.  There are no stars, yet occasionally a star falls.  How
odd.  But that is the nature of the world.  The races of Tetra function at
various tech levels ranging from Stone Age to something similar to High
Fantasy similar to that of Middle Earth.  Those familiar with worlds like
Kulthea, Harn, or Greyhawk will have a good feel for what to expect.

This is a game of survival, exploration, and discovery.  There WILL be
GM-guided adventures, the players being the heroes of the story.
Characters may come from other genres, but with an eye on balance with
regards to skills and gear.  This is a fantasy game.  Fair warning to
those from a sci fi setting, electronics are highly prone to malfunction;
computers are prone to possession.  Eventually you will be left with
little in the way of advanced technology and be forced to rely on local
means of survival.  And I am happy to offer you enough rope to hang
yourself with.	(No cyborgs or androids!!!  Do not ask.)  You might be
from a shipwreck in the Bermuda Triangle.  Those falling stars just might
be star travelers in lifepods.	Or you might be a victim of a mystical
accident from another fantasy realm.  (But local rules of magic will
apply.)  Please no undead or lycanthropes.

The game is human centric.  Non-humans will find entering human cities
more difficult.  Elves, while enjoying longer life spans than humans are
not immortal, require sleep, etc.  And they are not necessarily on good
terms with Man.  They have more magical aptitude, but also more
susceptible to magic.  We will be using GURPS 3e rules for character
creation, skills, spells, and gear.  But design the characters with
Hollywood flair.  I am not going to be strict on points.  I just want a
good idea of what a character can do in a written format.  PC�s should be
modestly well developed, with names, appearance, demeanors, backgrounds,
and gear.  Those who chose to be native will need some help with
backgrounds, gear and wealth.  You will be better prepared to travel, have
friends and enemies, know local languages and customs, etc.

Players should be able to post 5 to 7 times a week, with average lengths
of posts not less than a few good paragraphs.  The game is rated Mature
(strong R), with military violence, alien horror, adult language and
situations. No children please.
