"San Diego Mafia Wars" PBEM - players sought From: "Simon" <s.t.newman@shef.ac.uk> Date: Tue, 11 Aug 1998 00:00:00 +0000 Hello, we're looking for more players for a modern-day crime-based PBEM set in the city of San Diego (or a fictional equivalent thereof), where the players take the part of big league criminals, endeavouring to wipe out the opposition and gain total control of the city. Here is the game's original intro: _________________________________________________________________ _The Mafia Wars of San Diego_ *The Families and The Authorities* The Giovanni Family (the sicilian mafia) The Mexican mafia The Yakuza (the japanese mafia) The FBI and the San Diego Police Department The A.T.F (alcohol, tobacco and firearms division) Civilians This is a GAME based on the Mafia wars of San Diego. This is Real Life Role Playing, so no Vampires, werewolves, wizards or elves please. The storyline is this-The Sicilian and the Mexican Mafias have to protect the San diego county, which is their territory, from the Yakuza, which is "Moving in" on San Diego. The list at the top is what kind of character you can have. This is a game of crime, money, and power. Please send Character Sheets to ALEXISSCAGNETTI@HOTMAIL.COM. In a character sheet, I want stats, appearance, weapons and what "alligment" your character is in. EXAMPLE- Name: Alexis Scagetti Age:27 Sex:Female Job: Detective Appearance: Fit, tanned, wears a tan trench, jeans, white button up shirt with visable shoulder holster and a tan fedora Weapon of choice:Snubbed nose revolver................. You get the Idea. So, in San Diego, Let the wars continue........ __________________________________________________________________ We now have plenty of players for the Yakuza side, but we need players for the Giovanni Family (Italian mafia) and for the Mexican mob, including their Godfathers. If you would like to participate, please email both myself (s.t.newman@shef.ac.uk) and the original GM (AlexisScagnetti@hotmail.com) with your proposed character and requests for more info. The game is basically freeform, I would like it to emphasise good roleplayin g, character interaction, and much diabolical scheming. The Mexican mafia are currently undetailed, so Mexican PCs can be detailed as desired. I developed the following family tree for the Giovanni Family: _____________________________________________________________ ________________________________ | | | Don Joseph=Gina *Luigi=Teresa Maria=Ray Scarpetta ___|_______________ | _________|__ | | | | *Lola | | | Angela Roberto Carla Michael Antonio Bev Concorda *Deceased. _Suggested PCs:_ Don Joseph Giovanni (Godfather) Maria Giovanni-Scarpetta Ray Scarpetta Roberto Giovanni Michael Giovanni Antonio Scarpetta These characters can be further detailed as desired (I have a pic of Don Joseph and his sister Maria). You can also create a Giovanni underboss or soldata and detail them as desired. _Notes_ Don Joseph Giovanni has run the Family for more than 20 years. He looks like a typical silver-haired big-business CEO. Gina is Don Joseph Giovanni's second wife, his first having died of cancer some years previously. Don Joseph's brother Luigi was killed in a feud with the Mexicans 12 years ago, for the past decade the Giovannis and Mexicans have cooperated in the control of San Diego's underworld. Don Joseph's baby sister Maria is a powerful force in her own right. She has ambitions to have her husband Ray Scarpetta succeed Joseph as Don. She has three adult children, Antonio (Tony), Beverly (Bev) and Concorda (Connie). Tony has a wife, Francesca. Luigi Giovanni's daughter Lola Giovanni was recently murdered by the Yakuza, her body delivered outside Don Joseph's mansion heralded the start of the war. Don Joseph's elder daughter Angela is married to Francis (Frankie) Vittoria. Don Joseph's elder son Roberto (Bobby) Giovanni is married to another Maria. Don Joseph's younger son Michael is engaged to Leanne Scarletti, sister of Vito Scarletti, a Giovanni underboss. Vito has a mistress, an Irish-Italian girl, Sherry McMullen. ___________________________________________________________________ The turns so far are available as Word-format files if you'd like to see them. If you're interested, rem to email both me, Simon (s.t.newman@shef.ac.uk) and the original GM (AlexisScagnetti@hotmail.com), and we'll sort things out. Thanks for your time! -Simon. Up
